Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators for The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winner talk show) was back on the air August 5 for the 22nd season. Her true love in life was writing. In fact, she received an Emmy. She also won one Emmy award for outstanding host of a talk program. Her experience in the news industry has helped her transition from The Talk, which examines the latest news and current problems through the lens of five female hosts.Chen Moonves hosted the co-hosted version on CBS News' weekday morning show The Early Show from 2002 until 2010. Previous jobs included working as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliate news channel (1992-1995) and as a desk-assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while finishing her last year of college at The University of Southern California. As a desk-assistant in the ABC News late night broadcast Nightline, she worked with Ted Koppel. He remains an inspiration to her in the field of journalism. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the Premiertime Special of Columbia du-Pont that looked at the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
